Kate Phillips is an English actress who studied at Leeds University before training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and she was offered Jane Seymour in Wolf Hall while still a student. She reprised the role in Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, and her other credits include War & Peace, The Crown, Peaky Blinders (as Linda Shelby, 2016-2022) and Princess Mary in the film Downton Abbey. She plays Eliza Scarlet and has been an executive producer on the show since Series 4.
