Daniel Mays is a prolific English actor perhaps best known for playing PS Danny Waldron in the third series of Line of Duty, alongside a wide-ranging career across British film and television. He plays Detective Superintendent Locke (and the fictional Inspector Chubb) in the Susan Ryeland series, having appeared in Magpie Murders before reprising the dual role for Moonflower Murders.
